Lowepro Inverse 200 AW

By photospoon • Jul 5th, 2008 • Category: Bags, Reviews

The latest Lowepro Inverse series which is a replacement model for the Photo Runner.

There are two versions - Inverse 100 AW and Inverse 200 AW - with the former being the smaller and the latter being the larger.

As you may know, these three models belong to the category of beltpacks by Lowepro. I would say the Inverse series are definitely an improved version of their predecessor.

Inverse 100 AW (25.6 X 20.1 X 22.3 cm) is smaller compared to the Photo Runner (33 X 16 X 19 cm).  While the dimension of the Inverse 200 AW is 32.8 X 21.8 X 22.3 cm. The Inverse 200 AW is capable of containing 1 pro DSLR with medium zoom lens attached plus 2 additional lenses; or a 70-200mm attached lens in horizontal postion plus 1 additional lens; charger and cords; filters and memory cards. So if you do need more space, consider Inverse 200 AW.  Well, for me, I bought this beltpack as I am hoping to get the new Tamron SP AF 70-200mm F2.8 DI LD (IF) Macro. It was reviewed by dpreview.com that Tamron has a reputation of producing high quality affordable fast zooms. Personally, I am using SP AF 28-75mm F2.8 Di LD Aspherical (IF) Macro.

One noticeable improvement is the all-weather cover. The all-weather cover can be found at the bottom of the beltpack. It is easily accessible but however, it is rather elastic and would require some strength to pull over the cover to the beltpack.

Here is how it looks with the all-weather cover on…

There is also a sling included for you to distribute the weight evenly or to simply convert it into a slingbag.
